This poster provides instruction on how to feed a child. The captions suggest feeding 2–3 month old infants with cod liver oil to prevent rickets, from 3–4 months old feeding them fruit and vegetable juices, and from 5–6 months old feeding them pureed vegetables.

As part of early Chinese family planning campaigns, some aspects of childcare from the Soviet Union were introduced into Chinese society, as shown in this two-poster series made in 1954.
