Data Changes
This release includes a few changes to quantified and unquantified drugs:
- For TTY=GPCK and TTY=BPCK that include SCD and SBD strings of certain dose forms, the quantity factor for those strings will now be enclosed in parentheses. For these GPCK/BPCK normalized names, the RXAUI changed, but the RXCUI for the concept remained the same. For example:
- This is a TTY=BPCK normalized name from the November release (RXCUI=1250999, RXAUI=4260842):
{2 (118 ML Chlorpheniramine Maleate 0.4 MG/ML / methscopolamine nitrate 0.25 MG/ML / Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 2 MG/ML Oral Solution [Zinx PCM]) / 15 (Zinc Acetate 14 MG Lozenge [Zinx]) } Pack [Zinx Kids Sneeze Kit] - The transformed normalized name in the December release looks like this (RXCUI=1250999, RXAUI=5033956):
{2 (118 ML) (Chlorpheniramine Maleate 0.4 MG/ML / methscopolamine nitrate 0.25 MG/ML / Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 2 MG/ML Oral Solution [Zinx PCM]) / 15 (Zinc Acetate 14 MG Lozenge [Zinx]) } Pack [Zinx Kids Sneeze Kit]

- Vaginal Ring
- This is a TTY=BPCK normalized name from the November release (RXCUI=1250999, RXAUI=4260842):
- Quantified TTY=SCD and TTY=SBD normalized names of the dose forms mentioned in the above transformation were changed to the unquantified SCD/SBD normalized names. For these SCD/SBD normalized names, the RXAUI changed, and the RXCUI for the concept also changed.
- Quantified TTY=SCD and TTY=SBD normalized names of the dose forms listed below had their counterpart unquantified SCD/SBD normalized names created.
The following dose forms were included in this transformation:- Transdermal Patch
- Prefilled Syringes
- Prefilled Applicator
- Nasal Inhaler
- Dry Powder Inhaler
- Metered Dose Inhaler
- Vaginal Ring
