The 2001 MeSH in ASCII Format, the 2001 MeSH Trees in ASCII format and the Pharmacological Action Lists for 2001 are now available for downloading at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/filelist.html. Updated PubMed Training Manuals Available

The September 2000 edition of the NLM PubMed training manuals are now available for downloading from the NLM's Web site at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/web_based.html. New PubMed features such as sorting in the Clipboard, LinkOut page redesign, and the Cubby have been added. The workbooks, used in the two NLM/National Online Training Center classes (2-day Introduction class and the 1-day Keeping Up class), are available in two formats: PDF and WordPerfect.

These workbooks are not copyrighted. Feel free to use any part of the workbooks -- you may customize parts for training programs, demos, or workshops you conduct. Or you may use the workbooks as a self-training guide if you can't get to a class or your scheduled class is several months away.

National Library of Medicine Classification, 5th ed., rev. 1999 Now Available

NLM is pleased to announce that the National Library of Medicine Classification, 5th ed., rev. 1999 is now available through the Superintendent of Documents, U.S. Government Printing Office. This revised edition of the NLM Classification incorporates all additions and changes to the classification schedules since the fifth edition was published in 1995. These changes previously appeared in the NLM Technical Bulletin. In addition, several hundred new entry terms, published from 1994 to 1999 in the NLM Medical Subject Headings (MeSH￿) Annotated Alphabetic List, have been added to the Index of this revised edition.
